Panjo was started when I wanted to make a unique gift for my nephews. I wasn't sure what they already had, and I realized that even if they already had one, a kid can never have too many super capes! I then started making them for friends, and pretty soon I was getting requests for custom fabrics to match a child's interests. I started selling them on Etsy, and the rest is history!

I have recently been inspired by a cape that I made for a little boy going in for brain surgery at the age of 6 months. His parents call him their "Little Superhero". Of course he needed a supercape! I eagerly donated an additional cape to the children's ward of his hospital. There are so many brave little SuperKids that could use some Superhero strength while they are healing. This year I will be donating more capes to various Children's Hospitals around the US.

When not sewing super capes, I am a sign language interpreter and mama to an amazing two year old son, Max. I love to play, sew, knit, read, bake, play games, and (yes, I'll admit it) watch TV. I am also mildly obsessed with all things birth related- especially homebirth, babywearing, breastfeeding, co-sleeping, and lately reading about different parenting styles, especially Unconditional Parenting and Connected Parenting. As a family we love to be out and about hiking, traveling, or just playing.

Customer satisfaction is very important to us, so please let us know if there is anything you would like customized about your cape. You may contact me at: ellie@panjokids.com.

Cheers!
